About LAPWD

Lake side view of Parkes Castle, Leitrim. The Leitrim Association of People with Disabilities was established in 1996 by a small group of people with varied physical disabilities as a voluntary representative group for all people with disabilities living in County Leitrim. Since its inception LAPWD has relied on FÁS funded CE Schemes to provide personal assistants, and the consequent independent living opportunities to people with significant physical and sensory disabilities throughout the county.
